When it comes to special occasions, be it weddings or cocktail parties, going with a romantic hairstyle is a classic choice.  This year’s Golden Globes had many wonderful examples of this look and one of the most stunning was worn by Charlize Theron. Head to toe her style was soft and romantic, with a perfectly placed side bun that complimented the asymmetrical cut of her dress.

Whether your choice is to have all of your hair completely off of the face or to leave a little around the cheekbones for framing, remember to keep the overall look soft.  Also, when incorporating a headband of braids such as a style worn by Jessica Alba, keep the hair surrounding the  braids a little looser and “imperfect” so as not to appear too severe.
